I know when I start finding holes in my running shorts, it’s time to start replacing my favorite pieces. Thankfully, our friends at DICK’s Sporting Goods® graciously offered to let me visit their store and pick up some awesome new running clothes which have quickly become some new favorites!
Mamas always ask me how I find the time to work out and part of it is saving time whenever possible. So I’ve been more conscious about choosing pieces that can transition easily from work out wear to being on the go. Whether I’m going straight from the gym to the grocery store or from running to meeting my kiddos for lunch at school, I love that I can find workout wear that can transition to my every day activities without looking like I should only be in the gym.
And while at DSG, while I would have loved to pick up fun pants like these:
I knew it would be harder for me to incorporate them into every day wear. But I’m happy to know DICK’s Sporting Goods has a huge selection of brands for women to choose from no matter what style or sport they love.
One of my new favorite tops is not only super comfortable for running but works well in the gym for my strength training routine. I love the built in sports bra!
By just adding a cute cardigan, a necklace and switching from my running shoes to a pair of leopard print flats, the sports bra was covered and it was perfect for running errands.
By far, running is my favorite activity. Whether I’m on the treadmill in my garage, going for a run in my neighborhood, on a trail or at a race, I love to run. But my clothes must be comfortable. I will always choose comfort over fashion, but what I loved about this outfit was not only did it provide the comfort I look for, but it had cute little fashionable details, from the striped top to the ruching on the capris.
It was so easy for me to transform this into an outfit I could wear to meet my kids for lunch at school. I threw on one of my favorite chambray tops and switched my running shoes for ballet flats and voila! I was read to go!
Being able to make my workout clothes functional for every day wear is just one of the ways I can squeeze some extra time into my day. It isn’t always doable after every workout, especially a good speed workout, but I love having the option with my fitness apparel to go from working out to on the go with just a few minor changes.
DICK’s Sporting Goods® would like to gift one of our lovely readers with a $50 gift card. We’ll make it super easy to enter–just leave a comment on this post and let us know: Do you ever wear your workout clothes for every day wear?
