I admit that I am contacted frequently by companies that want me to review their products–things like weight loss pills, belly wraps, and supplements are things I will always pass on–because I want to give an honest review and share things that I would personally use or give to my family.
But when Simply 7 contacted me, I was comfortable saying: Sure, I’d be happy to review your product, because after some research I knew it was a snack that I wouldn’t have any problems with giving to my kids.
Typically, in their lunch they may have a side of Pirate Booty, by no means the healthiest side in the world but also not the worst. My kids get plenty of fruits and veggies, protein and healthy grains throughout the day so I’m not as concerned with the side they get for one meal out of the day. I was excited to try Simply 7 Snacks because I wanted to offer them a little more variety. And when I received my samples from Simply 7 I was pleasantly surprised by how many delicious choices they offer.
There are 3 different kinds of chips: Quinoa, Lentil or Hummus and 12 flavors: anything from Sea Salt to BBQ to Jalapeno or Bruschetta. I loved this variety because they can be eaten alone or paired with anything from guacamole to clam dip.
Though the kids didn’t like every flavor they tried, they each discovered a new chip that can be added to their after school snack and school lunches. Some of their favorites were: Cheddar, BBQ and Sour Cream & Onion. Chris and I enjoyed them all, in particular my favorites were Sea Salt, Bruschetta and Creamy Dill. Chris was a big fan of the BBQ and loved the Quinoa Sea Salt with a side of guacamole.
Here’s what I love most about these chips besides the great flavor: the quinoa chips have 8 grams of protein per serving (!!) and I love that they are gluten free, which is a huge bonus for when my dad is visiting. We are also big fans of these chips because they are dye free, non-GMO and there are vegan options.
