I have to be honest, summers are not my favorite season in Austin. When people complain of our winters, I bite my tongue, secretly loving the cooler temps. Because our falls and winters are so short, I enjoy even the coolest of days, knowing our long, breathtakingly hot and humid summers seem to last 9 months out of the year.
When we had a glimpse of cool fall weather a few weeks ago, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it because I knew those two cool days weren’t the norm for September. And sure enough we are back into 90+ degree hot and humid weather. But those cool days gave me the perfect opportunity to test out my new Reva Wear.
I want to make sure My Fit Family is aligned with companies that match our own core values–and Reva Wear is one of those companies. As My Fit Family begins its own search to donate to a charity on a regular basis, I was inspired by Reva’s statement:
In an industry dominated by artificially high prices and inflated profits, we set out to create a service-minded company that delivers high-quality activewear that exemplifies unbeatable performance at an affordable price, while also pursuing a higher purpose by investing in local communities and inspiring healthy lifestyles among youth. ~Reva
Reva Wear not only produces quality activewear, but I can really appreciate that the prices are affordable, and a bonus is they donate 1% of their profit and at least 1% of their time to youth sports programs!
I absolutely loved the marathon jacket. Not only because it comes in a fun, bright orange (my current favorite color) but because it was a perfect fit and it’s also functional. It is a light weight, breathable jacket, and it’s also moisture wicking, which is perfect for when you start to sweat on your run!
The Inspire Me long-sleeve tee is just perfect for cooler weather. I tested it out for a 6 mile run in some light rain and it kept me warm and dry. I love that there are thumb holes and built-in finger wraps for when it really gets cool and you need to keep your fingers warm. There is also a ‘secret compartment’ in the front where you can safely store a car key or ID.
I originally discovered Reva Wear because of a fun Instagram contest they were holding. I was fortunate to win the outfit below: a Reva Wear Challenge Me short sleeve tee and a pair of their Run With Me capris.
I tested them out at the gym with a spin class and strength training session. The Challenge Me tee is perfect for any kind of workout–it’s wicking and it has enough length that you won’t have to tug to keep it in place when picking up weights (or a toddler!) or when leaning over the handle bars of your bike.
The capris are extremely soft, stretchy and have a flattering fit. I’ve also taken the capris for a few runs and I love that I don’t have to worry about them staying put–there is no sagging or chaffing with these!
Now for the fun part! Reva Wear would like for one of you to win a Challenge Me Tee (long or short sleeve–you decide!) and a pair of capris of your choice! All you have to do is head over to Reva Wear and start your ‘window shopping’, then come back and let me know which Challenge Me Tee you would choose if you win.
Good luck! The winner will be randomly selected and announced on Friday.
Never Give Up,
And because I’m no professional model–outtakes are the norm around here! My cameraman aka hubby makes me laugh and catches me… bird watching?
