One of the biggest problems I have with wearing my favorite running shorts to the gym for anything but running is, well, they are made for running–not strength training, yoga or body pump. I went in search of a functional workout pant/capris that I could wear to the gym and wouldn’t leave me tugging at my shorts or trying to cover up when doing things like plie squats or leg presses, and found Kast Fitness Wear.
When perusing the Kast Fitness Wear webiste the first word that came to mind was: FUN! These workout pants (and now shorts!) all come in fun, vibrant prints. I’ve always worn plain, dark workout clothes but these pants made me want to try something new and add a little color to my workouts. Once I received my first pair and tried them on my next thought was–these are super comfortable. I have worn them to Body Pump, Yoga (which as you’ll see from my picture, I’m clearly in the novice level) and for strength training. I love how I can get into different positions and not worry about having to cover up. I made the mistake of wearing my running shorts to a recent physical therapy appointment and spent the entire hour trying to cover myself as my therapist stretched my legs and hips–the next time I wore my new capris and was able to focus on the stretches rather than worrying about if something was showing. I’m clearly NOT a fitness model–I tend to have the Chandler Bing effect when it comes to taking pictures if I know I’m doing a photo shoot, but I decided our beach vacation would be a fun backdrop for ‘modeling’ my new candy print capris. My daughters and I had so much fun taking these pictures! And I had the added bonus of finding out they make a great cover up to wear to over a bikini going to and from the beach! I have yet to try them running because we are in the middle of summer in Austin but these capris would be great for:
- body pump
- strength training
- spin class
- and more!
I’d LOVE to see you in your fun, Kast Fitness Wear pants–share a photo of you on MyFitFamily’s Facebook page or on instagram and hashtag it: #MFFKast!
