Believe

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” ~Roald Dahl

I believe in chasing after dreams and that our bodies and minds are capable of amazing things.

I believe in the importance of moms taking care of themselves, both physically and emotionally–we constantly give and serve, and it gets easy to forget about our own needs and well-being.

I believe in eating for nourishment and health but also in living life and enjoying foods. I believe guilt should never be associated with food.

I believe women should be each other’s biggest cheerleaders and we should stop comparing, gossiping, and tearing each other down because of our own insecurities.

I believe in looking forward to birthdays, growing old is a gift I will never take for granted.

I believe in the power of moving your body and finding your passion–whether it’s running, cycling, yoga, pilates whatever it is, there is something that will help add to your life–that will enhance it in a healthy and happy way.

I believe that life can be incredibly beautiful and yet sometimes so difficult it will take your breath away.

sweetI believe in enjoying pretty things but also in teaching my children, true beauty comes from within.  I believe in teaching them the importance of letting that inner beauty shine–in all it’s unique and wonderful weirdness.

I believe marriage is hard work.  Some people will say love should be effortless but I believe marriage has ups and downs and is all about give and take–but mostly about give.  If each person gives more and takes less–there seems to be a balance that feels just right.

I believe in tucking memories into your pocket like little gems–treasuring moments with your children; big and small, and never wishing life away.

I believe it’s OK for things to be hard, to get scared when chasing big dreams, to have to work for what you want.

I believe in having a life mantra–something to pull you through the tough times, for me, ‘it’s always darkest before the dawn’.  In all my toughest moments, my darkest days–it eventually got better.

I believe my family and Faith are the two things I will always lean on, love and value most in life.

I believe in never giving up.  Sometimes you just have to adjust the sails for unexpected winds.

Never Give Up,
Nicole

What a beautiful post. I have a little book where I write done quotes I come across and enjoy. This Roald Dahl quote is going in there. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you!! And that’s a great idea! I love quotes and pin a bunch but really should borrow your idea and hand-write them into a notebook–it would be such a treasure!

The healthy life that you make for yourself is what I want out of my life. To me true success is health and happiness and great personal well being and a stable family. In essence, I want to be like you when I grow up ;)
